SCREENSHOTS OF THE "COST PLANNING" CLIENT APPLICATION
(version for MS Windows)
Resource name, units and applied precision can be selected from drop-down lists, or entered manually.
The next screenshot shows a general view of the application after setting the table of expense items and details for some of them.
After the command 'Allocate' (you can give it using the 'Resource' menu or the toolbar (on the screenshots it is located under the menu bar), or by pressing Ctrl + L on your keyboard), you will see the following screen.
After request to the Service you will see the results of calculations.
After that, you can enter produced expenses, correct the resource specification and plan.
Creating a task begins with a description of the resource to be allocated. (This description can be changed later).
On the left side of the application window you see the "tree" which shows the allocable resource and the expense items which have details. (Any expense item in details can have its own details, etc., so number of levels of details is not limited). The table of expense items is on the right side of the window. The principle of navigation in the resource "tree" (if you have some detailed expense items) is the same as in the Windows Explorer. Resource can be considered analogous to the disk, and expense item having details - a folder on the disk. If a resource is selected in the "tree", the table displays expense items from the top level of the hierarchy; if a detailed expense item is selected, the table displays expense items which present the details.
"Tick"s in the column to the right of the names of expense items mean obligatory costs: for them we can not allocate less resource than specified in the column 'Min. request'. Red text in column 'Give min.' and in the line above the tree and the table means that at the moment the plan does not satisfy the specified conditions.
You can put a "tick" in the second column to the right of the name of expense item to temporarily exclude item from consideration.
